I have followed several different brownie recipes and this one genuinely produced the fudgiest and tastiest brownies EVER. It makes brownies which are gooey, not cakey – AKA the best kind of brownies. I added home made fudge chunks and cashew nuts to the recipe to add a little extra sweetness and bite, but I think it would still be amazing even without. They’re not overly sweet and the use of cocoa powder instead of melted chocolate makes them more economical to make, I think. I have also been getting really into fudge making on a marble slab so I will make a post about that soon.
- 145g unsalted butter
- 250g granulated sugar
- 65g cocoa powder (unsweetened!)
- 1/2tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 large eggs
- 70g plain flour
- 75g cashews
- Fudge chunks to decorate on top (about 100g)
It’s best to just follow the instructions on the website here as they’re clear and there are pictures to follow too. I decorated with the fudge chunks on top just after they came out of the oven.
